Michael Jackson | DJ Premier | Tribute Mix

So a week has passed since "The Man" left this earth in the physical form and it still just doesn't feel real. I keep saying to myself, Michael Jackson... Michael JACKSON. I'm sure you all, just like me have been bumpin MJ tracks like crazy. But only one man can put it down and bring out the funk like no other, and that man is DJ Premiere.

Man I'm so glad I found this! I caught the last 15 minutes of it on Sirius last Friday night and was pissed that I missed it. The reason I missed it was because I was too busy playing my own MJ tracks. This is Premo's live mix that he did live on Hip Hop Nation Ch. 50 on Sirius/XM Radio the night after MJ's passing. Thank you Mr. Premier for recording this session for all of us to enjoy for eternity. And also thanks to HeadKrack for posting this on his blog for me to discover and share with you all. Once again, rest in peace to one of the greatest, Michael Jackson. Click the cover to download the mix.

Thanks to Premo for this dope mix.

And thanks to HeadKrack for helping me discover the recording.

Sneaker Pimps NYC | 2009

A lil' footage from this past weekend's Sneaker Pimps sneaker show in the Big Apple. It looks like it was off the chain, especially the Michael Jackson tribute. R.I.P MJ.

Sick Animation

O.K. So I'm just using this first video to preface how sick these videos actually are. The next video is the one I really can't get my head around. But I will not lie, I laughed pretty hard at both of them.

Sage Francis | Sick Of Wasting

Sage is back! It seems like forever since we have heard from Sage Francis, but he is finally back! Any fan of Sage will know about his "Sick Of" mixtape series, and this is the 5th installment. Don't get me wrong, I am a fan of Sage, but as his career progressed, he got a little weird for me, but maybe I was just getting a little weird myself. This mixtape is straight fire/hip hop and the reason I became a fan of this man... Straight hip-hop rhymes and beats. If you have never heard of him, check this out. But but but wait it gets better, he is offering the mixtape for free! Click the album cover to download. But before you do that read below and find out why he released this tape, how far some of the beats date back, and how you can get an autographed copy for yourself.

"I wasn't sure if I would ever release another mix of this sort after the last one, but it's been a couple years since my last official album and I've accumulated a large number of "left over" tracks that never found their way onto an official album. I also opened up the 4-track vault this year and was able to unearth some solid material that dates back to 1996.

My music career, as most people know it, essentially began with the "Sick of Waiting" mixtape in 1999. Now that I've typed that out I've realized that we're essentially celebrating the "Sick of" mixtape series' 10th birthday. Hot damn. It seems like just yesterday I was dubbing all the original tapes, cutting and pasting the album covers, writing out the album info on the stickers, and selling them hand-to-hand at shows. Time (f)lies." -Sage Francis

T-Pain | Taylor Swift | Big Ass Chain | Thug Story

T-Pain's BIG ASS CHAIN makes another appearance in what has to be one of the most ridiculous collaborations of all time. Country star Taylor Swift featuring T-Pain and his Big Ass Chain in "Thug Story". WOW! For the record... T Swizzle sorta murders about fifty percent of the rappers out today (in a Lil' Romeo kinda way).

Recession Hits Jewelry Market.

"I'm Broke, Nigga. I'm Broke."

"After years of starring in rap-music lyrics and videos, "bling" is losing its ring.

The recession is cramping the style of hip-hop artists and wannabes -- many of whom are finding it difficult to afford the diamond-encrusted pendants and heavy gold chains they have long used to project an aura of outsized wealth.

In an attempt to keep up appearances, celebrity jewelers say rappers are asking them to make medallions with less-precious stones and metals. Some even whisper that the artists have begun requesting cubic zirconia, the synthetic diamond stand-in and QVC staple."

Really though? CZs?! Everyone knows moissonites and saphires are the way to go.

DJ Shadow | DJ Hero | E3 2009

The verdict is still out on how dope this game will actually be, but if Shadow co-signs it... he either got paid a lot of cash, or the game is truly ill.

After watching the video, am I the only person that feels Shadow is a lil' leaned out? Shadow's lack of enthusiasm leads me to sort of get the feeling that this project may suck. Shadow seems a little detached from this project... Jus sayin' mayne.

O.K. after 900 hours of pure meditation... Eff it I said it! This game will suck!

Project NATAL | XBox 360

O.K... So the biggest story coming out of E309 besides The Beatles/Rock Band is apparently, Project NATAL, which is essentially Microsoft's attempt at a death blow to the Nintendo Wii. From the reports I have gotten, even though this video looks a lil' cheesy, this thing actually works. Peep the video below, and keep your ear to the streets... Project NATAL is apon us.

Eminem | Bruno

So... I caught this shit live as it happened (don't ask me why), and was like... WTF!. But then I started thinking... Why would they flash to Em right before he (Bruno) drops down on him? And out of all the people in the crowd, why would Eminem be seated right underneath that big ass speaker? Also, why did they not beat his ass down? My guess, it was all staged. Watch the video and decide for yourself. Hilarious!

Exposed | Polow Da Don

Well...Youtube world has started another one!!! Before this goes any further Polow I wanna say that I love your work. You are a little cocky on your interviews, but you have the right to be. It's just funny how people are trying to put you on blast so I decided to post some of the vidz. Youtube...who cares if he used sounds from Garageband, and Native Instruments? He bought it! Let's get into this...

MVP from Bulgaria putting Polow Da Don on blast behind the Nas - Hero beat.

Jeff talking about Polow Da Don on using a Garage Band sound for Usher - Love In This Club.

This dude is somewhat ridiclous. Thing he needs to understand is that Polow Da Don and Timbo are boys so they share sounds etc.

Sorry man don't get it.

Polow Da Don beats! Next they're gonna get at Danja hahha!! Polow keep bangin'em man!
